Emergency contraception can stop you getting pregnant after unprotected sex (sex without contraception or when contraception might have failed).

You need to use emergency contraception within 3 to 5 days of having unprotected sex.

Emergency contraception is most effective when taken as soon as possible. Our trained pharmacists can provide a private consultation to assess your situation and supply the most appropriate treatment if suitable.

Emergency contraception may be effective up to 3–5 days after unprotected sex depending on the type of treatment provided. The pharmacist will advise you on the best option based on your circumstances.

All consultations are carried out in a private consultation room to ensure your comfort and confidentiality.

If emergency contraception is not suitable or if further care is needed, the pharmacist will advise you on the next steps or refer you to the appropriate healthcare service.

We recommend speaking to our pharmacy team as soon as possible for the best chance of effectiveness.
