Our Pharmacy First service allows you to get expert advice and treatment for common health conditions directly from your local pharmacy—without needing to see a GP.

Highly trained pharmacists can assess your symptoms, provide clinical advice, and supply appropriate treatment, including prescription-only medicines where suitable. This helps you get the care you need quickly and conveniently.

The service is available for several common conditions, including:

  • Impetigo (For patients aged 1+)

  • Insect Bite (For patients aged 1+)

  • Shingles (For patients aged 18+)

  • Sinusitis (For patients aged 12+)

  • Sore Throat (For patients aged 5+)

  • UTI (For women aged 16 to 64 years)

Pharmacy First is part of the NHS initiative designed to make healthcare more accessible and reduce waiting times for GP appointments.

How it works:

  1. Visit the pharmacy or book a consultation.

  2. Speak with a trained pharmacist in a private consultation room.

  3. Receive advice and, if appropriate, treatment on the spot.

Most consultations take just a few minutes, and you can get help without an appointment.

If your symptoms require further medical attention, our pharmacist will advise you on the next steps or refer you to another healthcare professional.
